Peer Review Process

Al Hisab: Jurnal Ekonomi Syariah adheres to a Double-Blind Peer-Review process that is rapid and fair and also ensures a high quality of articles published. This statement is based on the COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) Code of Conduct and Best Practice Ethical Guidelines for Peer Reviewers. All submitted papers are subject to a double-blind review process. The decision for publication, amendment, or rejection is based upon their reports/recommendations. In certain cases, the editor may submit an article for review to another, the third reviewer before making a decision, if necessary.

The peer-review process is a Double-Blind Review. Both the reviewer and the author are anonymous. Author anonymity prevents any reviewer bias, for example, based on an author's country of origin or previous controversial work. The reviewers will then submit their reports on the manuscripts along with their recommendation of one of the following

1. actions to the Editor:
2. Accept Submission;
3. Revisions Required;
4. Resubmit for Review;
5. Resubmit Elsewhere;
6. Decline Submission;
7. See comments.

Papers with revised categories will be returned to the authors by the Editor. Authors are given a maximum of 4 weeks from the date of notification to make revisions. After 4 weeks, the revised manuscript will be considered a new submission. In addition, the manuscript may be returned to the author by the Editor prior to review, if the manuscript is judged to be out of scope, outside the limits of word length guidelines, or not adequately prepared for publication.
